Cloud-based business phone system built for sales and support teams, with deep integrations into HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zendesk.

What is Aircall?

Aircall launched in Paris in 2014 with a clear thesis: business phone systems should be software-first, CRM-native, and deployable without physical hardware. The platform is built specifically for sales and support teams, with deep integrations into Salesforce, HubSpot, Intercom, Zendesk, and Slack that let agents handle calls in context alongside their customer data. That CRM-centric positioning helped Aircall carve out space against legacy telephony vendors and UCaaS incumbents by making call data — duration, recordings, tags, disposition notes — automatically flow into the CRM without manual entry.

Aircall runs on a cloud SIP infrastructure with PSTN interconnects in the countries where it provides local numbers, currently spanning over 100 countries. The softphone is browser-based and available as a desktop app, with a mobile app for iOS and Android for agents on the move. Call distribution, IVR trees, voicemail, and call recording are all managed through the Aircall dashboard, which also surfaces real-time analytics on queue depth and agent availability. Webhooks push call events to integrated tools the moment a call is answered, transferred, or ended.

When Aircall's platform has issues, sales and support teams feel the impact immediately. Softphone registration failures leave agents unable to receive or place calls — the phone icon shows a disconnected state in the browser or desktop app. Inbound calls ring unanswered as IVR routing fails and callers reach an error tone instead of a queue. One-way audio during live calls is a frequent SIP media relay symptom: the agent hears the customer clearly but the customer hears nothing, or vice versa. CRM integration webhooks stop firing during API degradation, causing call logs to fall behind in Salesforce or HubSpot.

Outage.gg tracks Aircall platform status using real-time community reports from sales teams and support centres. If Aircall is down, calls are not connecting, or integrations have stopped syncing, the live status page shows current impact.
