Cisco acquired AppDynamics in 2017 for $3.7 billion, just days before its planned IPO, in one of enterprise tech's most dramatic acquisition stories.

AppDynamics serves large enterprises — financial institutions, retailers, healthcare systems, airlines — as the observability layer for their most complex distributed applications.
