Check Point
Check Point develops enterprise cybersecurity products including firewalls, endpoint protection, cloud security, and threat intelligence services.
What is Check Point?
Check Point Software Technologies invented the commercial stateful inspection firewall in 1993 and has been defending that position — and expanding from it — for three decades. Gil Shwed's foundational FireWall-1 patent shaped how the industry thought about network security for years, and the company's SmartCenter management architecture established the model of centralised policy management that most enterprise firewall vendors eventually adopted. Today Check Point competes across network security, cloud security, endpoint protection, and mobile threat defence under the Infinity architecture, which aims to provide consolidated security across every attack surface from a single management console.
The SmartConsole and SmartCenter management layer is where enterprise administrators spend most of their time — writing and publishing security policies, reviewing logs, and managing gateway updates. SmartCenter availability is a prerequisite for policy changes, meaning a management server outage freezes security operations even when gateways themselves continue to enforce existing rules. Harmony Endpoint, Check Point's EDR product, communicates with a cloud-based management console and a local policy server; connectivity failures in either layer leave endpoint agents running on cached policy. The Infinity Portal, Check Point's unified cloud management interface, consolidates visibility across these products and is increasingly the single pane of glass for hybrid deployments.
Check Point service disruptions manifest in patterns that administrators recognise immediately. SmartConsole fails to connect to the SmartCenter management server, blocking all policy publishing and preventing log access — security teams effectively go blind to new events. Policy installation jobs fail mid-push, leaving gateways in an inconsistent state where some blades have received updated rules and others have not. Harmony Endpoint agents report as disconnected in the management console when the cloud backend is degraded, showing stale compliance states and halting threat event reporting. License synchronisation failures cause blade activations to lapse, disabling IPS, anti-bot, or application control functionality on affected gateways.
Outage.gg tracks Check Point service status using real-time community reports from security engineers and SOC operators. If SmartCenter is unreachable, policy pushes are failing, or Harmony Endpoint agents are dropping, the live status page shows current impact from the Check Point community.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Check Point outages and server status.
You can check the live Check Point server status at outage.gg/services/check-point. The page shows real-time community-submitted outage reports, an hourly trend chart, and the current health status.
Check Point can stop working for a number of reasons including scheduled maintenance windows, unexpected server failures, network infrastructure problems, or DDoS attacks. Check the live status page on Outage.gg for the latest community reports to see if others are experiencing the same issue.
Go to outage.gg/services/check-point and click the "Report an Issue" button. Your report is counted immediately and helps confirm whether a problem is widespread. Reports from multiple users trigger a status change visible to everyone watching the page.
Click the "Notify Me" bell button on the Check Point status page at outage.gg/services/check-point. Create a free account and we will send you an email the moment Check Point comes back online — no app download required.
Many services maintain official status pages with planned maintenance notices. Outage.gg aggregates real-time community-reported outages which often surface faster than official channels.
