What is Didi?
DiDi is the dominant ride-hailing platform in China and one of the most important mobility technology companies in the world by transaction volume. Founded in Beijing in 2012, it consolidated China's fragmented ride-hailing market — absorbing Kuaidi Dache and defeating Uber China in a costly market share battle that ended with DiDi buying Uber's Chinese operations in 2016 — to reach a position of near-total dominance in its home market, serving hundreds of millions of users across China.
